Maserati
Maserati is an Italian luxury car manufacturer based in Modena, Italy. Founded by three brothers in 1914, the company started out producing race cars but eventually withdrew from production in 1957. The brand’s first road car, the 3500 GT, came out that year.
Maserati has seen various owners over the years, one of which was Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in 1993. In 1997, FCA sold a 50% stake to Ferrari, which made Maserati its luxury division. Today, the brand is a subsidiary of Stellantis, a multinational auto manufacturer that also owns Jeep.
Maseratis have been made in Italy since production began in 1914. Among the fastest Maserati models are the Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo, which can reach 203 mph, and the MC12 Stradale, topping out at 205 mph. The cost to maintain a Maserati varies depending upon driving history, model, etc., but annual maintenance ranges from $400 to $1,500 or more.
The best-selling Maserati is the Levante. Other popular models are the Ghibli, GranTurismo, MC20, and Quattroporte.
