Lexus is a luxury vehicle manufacturer and the luxury division of Toyota. Lexus was established around the same time that Honda and Nissan launched their luxury editions. Consumers enjoyed their Toyota vehicles but didn't consider them when it came time to purchase a luxury vehicle. To combat that, the company set out to make the best luxury sedan.
In 1989, the brand's first car, the LS 400, debuted in the United States. Lexus went on to launch many other models. In 1991, it released its first sports coupe, the SC 400.
Today, Lexus has grown to offer over 20 models in its lineup of luxury SUVs, cars, EVs, and hybrids. It's a brand that has stood the test of time and continues to attract new buyers.
