The newly redesigned 2022 Nissan Frontier has plenty of fierce competition in the midsize pickup truck segment. One of which is the 2022 GMC Canyon, which received just a few updates for the new model year.

The spy shots of the 2023 GMC Canyon are heavily camouflaged, so we can't see its new face or interior yet. However, they reveal a few clues about the upgraded suspension that feels similar to the Chevy Colorado Z2R.
There are a lot of capable pickup trucks in the midsize segment, but it is hard to find a rivalry that compares to the competition between the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC Canyon, at least in their base-model form.
However you choose to phrase it, there is no doubt that the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado are similar in many ways. The sales numbers aren't too similar, though.
With midsize trucks exploding in popularity, pickups like the 2021 GMC Canyon are beginning to incorporate more of those luxuries thanks to advances in automotive technology. One of those rare luxuries offered in the new Canyon is a cool seating option.
