33-year-old robbery suspect is behind bars after crashing into a pole and leaving kids in the car as he fled
Let’s face it—there are some pretty bad drivers on the road. Luckily, traffic cams and police traffic stops exist to help. However, some people commit dangerous actions behind the wheel to escape their other bad actions. This is what led a robbery suspect to leave two kids in the car as he ran.
This robbery suspect only cared about himself
According to NBC Connecticut, police officers recently received a call about a vehicle crashing into a pole. The driver is said to be 33, and he fled on foot after the collision. However, the man left three people behind, two of which were children. Apparently, he was wanted after a robbery that happened in Rhode Island.
Of course, Connecticut police began a search for the robbery suspect after he got away, using K9 officers in the search. They later located him and approached him with caution, as he had been known to carry weapons. They arrested the man, and he’s facing several charges in addition to the alleged robbery. He is being held on a $25,000 bond and is set to appear in court on November 4th. He also had an active warrant for violating his probation.
The robbery suspect’s charges include risk of injury, reckless endangerment, interfering with an officer, evading responsibility, and failure to maintain a proper lane. Notably, it’s unclear who the passengers were or how old they may have been.
