29-year-old Texas driver led police on an hour long chase and then did an “acrobatic flip” over a fence to escape
Being pulled over by the police can be scary for many reasons. However, the best course of action is to comply with the traffic stop. Recently, police officers in Texas tried to stop a suspect who led them on a lengthy chase before taking extreme actions to get away. Luckily, no one was hurt during the high-speed police chase.
This man did a flip after trying to avoid a traffic stop
As we’ve said, police officers can subject a driver to a traffic stop for several reasons. In many cases, they do this after noticing traffic violations such as speeding. According to ABC 7 Los Angeles, police in Texas recently tried to stop a 29-year-old driver. However, he refused to stop and led police on a high-speed chase for about an hour.
As is usually the case, he eventually pulled over but still tried to evade the traffic stop. This time, he did so on foot. Then, he approached a fence and decided it was a good idea to flip over it. While the man landed the flip, the police officers eventually caught up to him. After running into a field, they were able to cut him off with a Fort Worth police car and place him in handcuffs.
Of course, they took the man to a local jail. Sadly, the initial reason for the traffic stop is currently unknown. Still, this serves as a cautionary tale because running from the police is one of the worst things a driver can do. It creates a dangerous environment for everyone on the road, wastes police resources, and it means more charges for the driver.
