Recently, three off-roading trucks were challenged to a race, and the Ford F-150 Tremor proved its athletic abilities by leaving rivals in the dust. But that’s not all the 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor has to brag about. It is also the most affordable off-roading option in the group.

How much power does the 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor have?

The 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor bucks out the gate with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine with 400 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. In the drag race, it matched up against a 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport with a 3.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque.

The Ford Tremor also faces a 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that cranks out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Even though these trucks are evenly matched with similar specs, the Ford F-150 Tremor was the clear winner. It finished well ahead of the Silverado and Tundra, which battled for second place.

According to HotCars, the Tundra was disappointing because it has a slow-reacting transmission. It’s also the heaviest truck.

Perhaps if they raced a Toyota Tundra model with an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, the results would change. It generates 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.

But the F-150 Tremor accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds, while the Silverado ZR2 and Tacoma TRD Pro have been clocked at 6.1 seconds.

How much does the F-150 Tremor cost?

The 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor starts at $61,110. That’s a pretty penny, but the upgraded off-roading equipment and extra power could be worth it. The standard F-150 begins at about $34,585. These are the MSRPs and don’t include the $1,795 destination charge.

Next up, we have the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 coming in at about $71,500. It has a $1,895 destination charge.

You can save with the 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport is based on the $42,750 SR5 model. The Sport package adds about 5,800 to the price, bringing it up to $48,500.

But for off-roading upgrades like Fox suspension dampers, a locking differential, tow hooks, and skid plates, you’ll have to go up to the Tundra TRD Pro model for $69,420. The destination fee is $1,795.

So, while all three of these trucks have impressive off-roading upgrades and power, the F-150 Tremor is the fastest and most affordable one.

The Tremor rides on 18-inch dark aluminum wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. It features 9.1 inches of ground clearance. Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, and Trail One Pedal Drive make off-roading easy and convenient.

If you want even more power, go for the Ford F-150 Raptor, which starts at $76,775. But you could save thousands with the more affordable Tremor, and you get a truck built for work and play.
