In a surprising move, Ford has decided that when the all-new F150 Raptor debuts it will only be available as a SuperCrew. The former SuperCab body has been discontinued. It’s surprising because Ford wants to fill out its pickup and SUV offerings to make up for discontinued sedans. Having both the SuperCab and SuperCrew bodies …
You knew, we knew, that Subaru was going to go after Tesla. Subaru said as much when it showed off the quirky concept with no name. Seriously. It revealed the crossover-looking SUV earlier this year. It wasn’t shown at an auto show but instead, at a technical meeting it held in Japan back in January. …
The “All-In Challenge” lets you bid for personal prized possessions and once-in-a-lifetime experiences from celebrities, sports figures, sports teams, musicians, and entertainers. The online auctions raise money that will then go towards food for recently unemployed. Also elderly and vulnerable due to the coronavirus crisis will have food donated. All of the donated money from …
You always knew there was a place like this but it’s still a sad sight when you see it. Stripped Ferrari bodies and pallets with Lamborghini V12s on racks. Ferrari transaxles looking like new and a red 458 roof on its side against a wall. This is Eurospares in Essex, UK. When Ferraris and Lamborghinis …
We’ve got a lot more details about the Fiat Strada mini-truck about to debut in South America and Mexico. Why is this significant? Because Ram could rebadge the Strada as an entry-level Ram pickup for the US. In Mexico, this is called the Ram 700. It’s a unibody small pickup similar in size to 1970s …
Many of the Freak Show selections have a purpose or reason for the modifications and work involved in their construction. It may be to gain a pickup from a car or doing something with some of the wrecks that litter your lower 40. Maybe you’re looking to show off your building chops or otherwise restyling …

The 2021 Bronco has been so hyped we’ve stopped reporting on the minuscule bits of info popping up here and there. We’re waiting for the reveal whenever that might be (Maybe June??) Anyway when we saw this we thought it was worth the post. A recent patent filing notes “a complex mating of hardware and …
Most people believe what they hear or what they read unless they dig a little. Once you start digging many times you find the truth. Then you wonder why certain “facts” that are easy to disprove continue to be asserted by those with something to gain. Such is the case with the one and only …
Every time someone asks Tesla CEO Elon Musk about the Cybertruck something new comes out. Maybe Musk should just hold a free-for-all question and answer rally. One of the things people are curious about is what if you love the Cybertruck but hate the stainless steel look? On Twitter, he answered that question with, “You …
You knew it was only a matter of time. Now it looks like vehicle prices are set to implode due to the collapsing economy. The effects of the lockdown from the coronavirus crisis are going to be far-reaching. Vehicle prices are on the thinnest of ice. There is an ever-increasing pileup of used cars at …
Who knew that Tesla Model S station wagons were a thing? Who even knew there were Tesla wagons? When station wagons were popular back in the 1950s Cadillac never lowered itself to make any. That didn’t stop coachbuilders from converting a few a year. Today those rare Cadillacs are highly valued collector’s items. We have …
Because of the problems developing with VW’s first EV called ID. 3 and nothing else much to tout the company is singing its joys yet again about the ID Buzz Microbus-styled EV. VW has been one lucky company with the ID Buzz as a fallback for diversion. Throughout “Dieselgate” and subsequent transgressions, it has been …
The thing with Japanese auto companies is that they all own a little bit of each other. So while there is competition, there’s also sharing since one wouldn’t want to lose their investment in the other. To that end, Mazda has been quietly developing a straight-six SkyActiv engine for use in many future Toyota models. …
The Ford guys and gals are going to love this story. This Toyota Tacoma owner thought it would be a good idea to drive through Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. It’s where the Burning Man festival takes place. But not in March. That’s when the rains turn the dry, barren landscape into an otherworldly goo. You …
And you thought that taxi-drones were a thing? Check out the Pal-V Liberty Aerocar flying car. Just imagining flying to your local airport, then continuing onto the runway and taking off is just too cool. But, it’s also real. While the few flying cars developed after WWII were neither good cars nor good planes this …
We weren’t expecting Nissan’s all-new Z to be called 400Z but we’ll take it. Nissan’s Z-car has never disappointed, except when it hangs around too long. That’s the case now. As much as we loved the 370Z when we first saw it in 2008, that now seems like three decades ago. The 2009 Zs built …
Illustrations: Alejandro Burdisio We sometimes forget that there are lots of different fuels. Synthetic fuels have been around for years. Some are made from coal, corn, or natural gas. But there are more recent synthetic fuels that extract carbon dioxide from the air and electricity. The twofold advantage of this is that you’re not burning …
Toyota has been quietly gearing up to produce the TJ Cruiser concept that was first shown in 2017. Back then we thought that the concept looked very production-ready. You know, some concepts look more like they have been created from some type of tooling. Door jambs and panel joints look a little too production-y. Well, …
First, it was the refreshed 2021 Chevy Traverse being bumped up to 2022. Then we heard there probably won’t be any 2020 Chevy Corvette convertibles. The updates listed for the 2021 Silverado and Camaro have also been moved to 2022. Now, it is the refreshed Chevy Equinox getting kicked down the road to 2022. The …
