We have good news because the Ford F-150 Rattler is coming back! This truck provides affordable off-roading upgrades without breaking the bank. Best of all, the 2024 Ford F-150 Rattler is getting mid-cycle updates to stay fresh and modern.

2024 Ford F-150 Rattler: What’s new?

The 2024 Ford F-150 Rattler was recently spotted in a few spy photos while being covered in camouflage. This indicates that the entry-level off-roading truck will receive brand-new looks, like the rest of the F-150 lineup.

It could also confirm that this model is coming back in 2024, which is excellent. The F-150 Rattler debuted in 2023 and sold out in the blink of an eye. It provides stout off-riding enhancements without the price of the Tremor or Raptor.

We can expect the F-150 Rattler to have new halogen headlights, a refreshed grille, and a new bumper design. The rear could get a new tailgate design, revised taillights, and an improved rear bumper for off-roading.

It’s safe to expect new special paint shades and more wheel designs. It will probably keep its unique amber accents and badging.

Upgrading upgrades could include enhanced shock absorbers, a suspension lift, more off-roading modes, more packages for things like snow plows, more camera views, a side exit exhaust, and larger tires. It might borrow suspension enhancements from the Ford F-150 Raptor too.

What comes with the 2023 F-150 Rattler?

The 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler is based on the entry-level F-150 XL trim. It features an array of off-roading upgrades for only $1,495. In some cases, that’s cheaper than the cost of adding 4×4 to other SUVs and trucks.

It rides on 18-inch dark-painted wheels wrapped in LT265/70R18C BSW all-terrain tires. It has a few FX4 features, like the same upgraded shocks, protective skid plates, and an electronically locking rear differential.

The front shock absorbers have been tuned for off-roading, and monotube shocks are in the rear. It has hill descent control and a rock crawl mode. The dual exhaust tips provide a deep throaty roar.

Ford Authority noted that it also has privacy glass, amber accent stitching, tray-style floor liners, and a snake-themed graphic on the bed that resembles snake skin.

How much power does the Ford Rattler have?

The 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler must be paired with the twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 engine with 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, the 5.0-liter V8 engine that cranks out 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, or the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine with 430 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque.

It can’t be paired with the standard 3.3-liter V6 engine with 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. Also, the 2024 F-150 Rattler could have different engines available. It’s possible that the 2024 F-150 will get updated engine options as the entire lineup will be refreshed.

With the 35-liter engine and the Max Tow package, the F-150 Rattler can tow up to 14,000 lbs and can carry a payload of up to 3,325 lbs. It’s pretty capable of off-roading and work.

Stay tuned for the latest updates. The new 2024 F-150 could debut soon and is expected to be available by the end of the year.
