Woman is behind bars after driving the wrong way from New Hampshire to Massachusetts
Wrong-way drivers are a significant problem for law enforcement agencies nationwide. This is especially true as this action can easily cause car wrecks. Recently, one woman drove all the way from New Hampshire to Massachusetts while going the wrong way and evading traffic stops the whole time. Now, the wrong-way driver is in jail.
This wrong-way driver didn’t care about the safety of anyone else
According to WMUR, New Hampshire police officers received a report on April 13th regarding a wrong-way driver. Notably, this was around 3:30 a.m. on I-93 in Londonderry. The driver was going south on the northbound lanes, which could have been heavy with traffic even at that hour. Of course, it took the officers a while to find the vehicle as they had a ton of ground to cover. Once on the scene, the officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but it seems the 38-year-old woman didn’t initially pull over.
After a while, the officers could make a traffic stop on the wrong-way driver. This happened right after she crossed over into Massachusetts. This means it was the Massachusetts police who arrested her. Still, she is expected to face charges in New Hampshire as this is where the chase started and where most of it took place.
Now, it’s unclear what led to the wrong-way driver’s actions. Often, this happens after someone decides to drive while under the influence, but that was not mentioned in this report. Still, the woman could have caused multiple car wrecks with her actions, so her charges could be pretty hefty. People who notice wrong-way drivers on the road should call the police immediately.
