Everyone knows that car theft often leads to other issues. This includes car wrecks, but there are other instances where things are even worse. Sadly, this happened recently in Florida when police officers conducted a traffic stop after noticing what they believed to be a stolen vehicle. Now, three people are behind bars, and one is dead.

This story shows the widespread consequences of car theft

According to WFTV, police officers in Osceola County were recently alerted to a car theft. This led them to track the supposed stolen vehicle on December 18th. It was then that the patrolling officers noticed the car pull into a local apartment complex. Then, the report says that two men and two women exited the car and got into what they thought was a rideshare vehicle.

Sadly, things worsened as the police pulled the car over for a traffic stop. The report says this was when a man in his 20s pulled out a gun and shot himself. Of course, they took him to the hospital, but he is said to have died there from injuries related to the shot. The other three people in the car were then placed in handcuffs and taken to jail.

Naturally, it’s unknown how long the police had been tracking the car and how involved the three who were arrested during the traffic stop were in the theft. Still, it’s always sad when a person loses their life. We will update this story as more details emerge regarding the charges the other three people will face.
