Some hospitals in the US are completely bypassing patient insurance or Medicare when involved in a car crash. Instead, they go right for putting liens on patient’s homes or insurance settlement payments. These are great ways for hospitals to make sure they get paid. And for usually more than insurance companies allow. But it completely …
While costing significantly more than a new Toyota Land Cruiser, this modded FJ44 makes for a better off-roader than any new Land Cruiser. A product of Icon 4×4, it follows the typical Icon path of flawless execution combined with updated technology making this an old FJ44 in name only. From the engine to suspension and …
There is much to do about the transition from 2020 to 2021 Ford Mustang models. As we approach the end of the S550 Mustang, Ford has decided to whittle down the number of models. Unfortunately, the models it has chosen to kill are some of the most iconic in the Mustang’s history. Ford has decided …
We like what we see with the new 2022 Nissan Frontier. But “new” is subjective. Underneath that new look, it’s 17 years old underneath. And we’re not just talking about the chassis. The entire platform is a vintage 2004 Frontier. Here is what we mean. First, the 2022 Frontier frame is the same First, the …
If you can point to only one production Corvette that garners the most attention and highest prices, it would be the 1963 split-window. We’re not talking about Grand Sports or other limited production unicorns. Now, what if a reimagined split-window Corvette was created in series production as an electric car? Ava HyperClassic in Ireland is …
There’s a lot of speculation as to what will happen to the Chrysler brand now that the Stellantis merger is complete. The brand is down to almost no models which, you know, doesn’t keep you in business for very long. But there is a wave of new models chugging out from the French side of …
We expected much better than this. Fifty years ago these miles-per-gallon numbers would have been typical. But it’s 2021, not 1971. The new Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon edition gets a very crappy 13 MPG City, and 17 MPG Highway, for a grand total of 14 MPG combined. For a Jeep? Anybody buying a Wrangler Rubicon 392 …
The Apple Car was a non-starter until recently. Initially considered a front runner in the autonomous electrification of the automobile it has quietly evaporated. Rumors and leaks suggest it is back on the table after a lapse in development. The latest news that Apple has invested over $3 billion in Kia to kick start production …
Living in SoCal your pals at MotorBiscuit relax after a long day of cranking out posts to catch up on the latest LA car chase. They’re almost a nightly occurrence, and so one tends to blur into the next. But not last night. We were witness to a whopping six hours-long police chase through the …
That frat comedy romp National Lampoon’s Animal House movie is almost 45 years old. In that time it has maintained its irreverence and comedic edge. Cars were a big part of the movie-especially the Deathmobile Lincoln Continental that ravages the town at the end. But also shining was Blutto’s red 1959 Corvette. After its movie …
We don’t know what it is about German automakers that they can’t get their emissions under control but in the shadow of Volkswagen’s Dieselgate comes the latest. This time it is Porsche. It seems that Porsche has made errors in its emissions testing of certain years of 911. Because of this Porsche can’t sell certain …
Tesla always seems to find a way to make a big splash with minimal effort. Its release of the updated Model S and Model X was expected. What wasn’t was the “Yoke” steering wheel. The internet has gone nuts talking about the chopped-off wheel and speculating whether it is good, bad, or even legal? What’s …
New C8 Corvette owners are discovering an exhilarating surprise once they hit 500 miles. Like magic engine torque goes up by a third, the Corvette can hit higher speeds, and engine revs increase, too. All of this is thanks to its improved electronics. Corvette engineers electronically keep drivers within the 500 miles break-in bounds With …
Tesla making a profit for the entire 2020 year made headlines. Really, it’s the first all-new car manufacturer to survive since before WWII. And it establishes that Tesla is a real, honest-to-goodness established automaker. But Tesla loses money on every single car it has ever made. So the question is how could it have made …
Leading into the 24-hour race at Daytona International Speedway last weekend was an electric race sedan that did exhibition runs around the 3.5-mile road course. This was the first time an EV has ever touched the Daytona track. The question is obvious; will NASCAR be going electric sometime soon? ETCR is a new category of …
Later today Cadillac will debut its refreshed 2022 CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing sedans. While they look somewhat like their Cadillac sedan siblings they incorporate some unique differences outside and inside. The first thing you notice is the aggressive front end with the zoomy air intakes. Both Blackwings receive aggressive fascias and aero body kits The …
The biggest concern about electric vehicles is range. How far can you go before the power poops out? While a 300-mile range was once considered the gold standard, when compared with EVs today even 300 miles is only average. But, what if your EV could charge from the surface of the road so that range …

It alleges that GM knew this was happening back in 2009, involving the Passenger Presence Sensor (PPS) pads. Allegedly, GM chose to ignore the problem which included Camaros built as 2010 and 2011 models, but not …
They say all country music has lyrics with trains, momma, God, and broken hearts in them somewhere. But you can also add pickup trucks and truck driving, too. Oh, and drinking. Can’t forget drinking. But believe it or not a financial services website in the UK just did an analysis of country songs to see …
There are over 4,000 2019 and 2020 brand new Chevy Silverado trucks languishing at dealerships. The catch is that they are Medium Duty trucks. Of these, around 1,000 are 2019 MD models and the rest are from 2020. And the 2019 MD Silverado trucks were all-new so these aren’t earlier-gen trucks. The 2019 Silverado MDs …
