Traffic stops are common for drivers. This is the case because they are one of the best ways for law enforcement to enforce the rules and keep everyone safe. However, they can sometimes happen for more extreme reasons. Recently, one woman in Georgia was subjected to a traffic stop because she was believed to be transporting drugs. Lo and behold, this was a correct assumption.

A traffic stop uncovered a large amount of meth in this woman’s car

The idea of being stopped by the police is one reason not to possess illegal items. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit had been investigating Angela Reese, 53, for potentially bringing meth into the area. This led the agency to conduct the recent traffic stop that ended with her in handcuffs.

According to reports, the traffic stop happened around the end of October. Not only did it involve the ACE unit, but Carrollton Police Corporal Awalt and a drug sniffer dog assisted in searching her vehicle. During the search, they found “several ounces of suspected methamphetamine.”

However, things didn’t end with the traffic stop and vehicle search. Authorities then went to the motel room Angela had been staying in. There, they found more meth. Of course, she was arrested, but her exact charges are unknown, but it’s possible they will be related to trafficking. However, this is a massive step forward in combating meth distribution in the area.
