ID.Buzz
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is an electric vehicle concept and reinvention of the VW microbus model. Built on Volkswagen’s electric MEB platform as a minivan/MPV build, a production model of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz is already in the works and is set to release in 2022 or 2023 within the Volkswagen ID. series lineup of EVs.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz was first introduced as a prototype concept model at the 2017 North American Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, and overseas at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is set to be produced and sold both as a passenger model and as a commercial cargo van variant. Its final design and nameplate are currently unknown. However, it’s now rumored to release as the Volkswagen ID.7.
With a lack of current electric minivans and bus models on the market, the competition for the Volkswagen ID. Buzz is also unknown. However, a few possible contenders include the Ford E-Transit, the Mercedes-Benz EQV, and the Nissan e-NV200.
