Wisconsin SWAT team has a standoff with an empty truck
I’m not blaming police officers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for holding a standoff with an empty truck. They thought it was occupied by armed suspects and called a SWAT team in for help.
Hours later, they discovered the truck was empty, and the suspects from a neighborhood shooting escaped. It all started when officers responded to reports of gunshots in a south-side Milwaukee neighborhood.
Police officers saw an occupant of a pickup truck fire several gunshots out of the window toward homes. It was located in a dense residential cluster.
Deputies found the truck parked on South 10th Streets, just south of West Arthur Avenue. This is where the standoff occurred. As they approached the truck, they saw the brake light flicker.
So, it was time to call for the SWAT team and backup. There was a serious threat of armed occupants barricaded inside the vehicle.
According to Yahoo, officers determined that the truck was empty a few hours later. This incident is still under investigation. Police officers are still searching for the occupants of the truck.
I would love to know how the suspects managed to get out of the truck. How did they sneak away undetected?! Also, no injuries were reported. Safety first is something to take seriously.
