Pregnant Fargo woman was left stranded after Jiffy Lube forgot to add oil to her car
One woman in North Dakota recently had the experience of a lifetime after getting an oil change, but not in a good way. Sadly, this routine maintenance left her with serious car problems, and now she’s speaking out about her experience with the auto mechanics who completely derailed her plans.
This is just another example of quick oil change locations not prioritizing quality
According to Valley News Live, Kasey Pankow recently took her 2015 Ford Escape to a Jiffy Lube. This is one of the most popular places to go for an oil change. Notably, she did so before she was set to embark on a lengthy trip. The issue is that she began to experience car problems directly after the auto mechanics worked on her Ford SUV. Kasey said, “I made it one minute from the corner of 10th Street to the corner of University before my car absolutely died.” Making matters worse, the expectant mother ended up on the side of the road in the rain.
Kasey then had her car towed back to the auto mechanics at the shop. The scorned driver went on, “They forgot not only to put oil in my vehicle during an oil change, but they forgot to install the air filter properly and to reattach the skid plate.” However, the Jiffy Lube station didn’t initially own up to the gaffe. The employees first claimed that there was nothing wrong with the engine. Sadly for the driver, the issues with the compact SUV were exacerbated.
Fast-forward: An employee from the oil change shop says that the company’s provider will be working to achieve a resolution. However, the woman says she is unable to travel to rectify the problem as she has moved away from Fargo.
