The Tesla Cybertruck has a bit of a tarnished public image as of late. Critics seem quite comfortable assigning the electrified pickup truck nicknames like “Deplorean” and “CyberAztek.” It’s that same cheeky attitude that prompted viewers to roast a video of wrecked Cybertrucks and other Tesla EVs on the back of a huge, fuel-fed flatbed truck.

The internet showed little love for the Tesla Cybertruck in a video featuring many of the EV trucks wrecked on a flatbed truck

An Instagram video with nearly 200,000 likes shows a flatbed truck chugging along through wet conditions on a two-lane stretch of highway. Its payload: wrecked and partially flattened vehicles. But this wasn’t a hodgepodge of different makes, models, and drivetrains. No, this was almost exclusively a wall of Tesla Cybertrucks with a handful of Model Y and Model 3 companions.

It’s the truck’s payload that invited a roasting online. Viewers poured into the comment section to give the wrecked EVs a hard time. “This is how we want to see them,” a top comment read. Another commenter agreed with that assessment, saying, “Best they’ve ever looked,” about the damaged trucks. Other viewers attacked the brand itself, saying things like, “Does insurance still insure anything made by Musk?”

Digital creator Bob Linux Olsen said, “Back to the landfill where they belong.” Ouch. On the subject of a landfill, one commenter left a silly AI-generated GIF wherein a Cybertruck transforms into a dumpster with a squad of expressive raccoons taking a ride.

Beyond the silliness of the of the trash panda theme, raccoons made the news for trying to break through the tonneau cover of parked Tesla Cybertrucks. One of the funnier explanations? The raccoons were breaking into Cybertrucks based on their resemblance to dumpsters. To quote Jeff Goldblum’s character in Jurassic Park, “Life finds a way.”

Dumpster comparison notwithstanding, the commenters were less than kind at the sight of the wounded Teslas in the short social media video. “What a beautiful sight. Hope to see much more,” one viewer responded at the expense of the deceased EVs.

Other social media-goers were more concerned about the environmental impact of scrapping the hulking EVs. “Imagine what those batteries are gonna do to the soil and groundwater,” one viewer responded.
