Florida man hits woman with SUV after not letting him smell her feet
A man and a woman met in a hotel in Aventura, Florida, to make an exchange. The pair agreed to meet at the Serena Hotel at 2820 NE 214th street on Sunday afternoon. The woman entered the hotel room of 28-year-old Elmoncy Sercle to sell a pair of used sneakers.
According to Local 10, they connected on Seeking.com, then chatted on WhatsApp. The woman agreed to sell her shoes for $1,000. That’s her standard rate.
But she entered his room wearing a pair of sandals, and the sneakers were in her car. Then Sercle ran out of the room when she was in the bathroom.
She chased after him, thinking he had stolen something, and ran to the hotel’s parking lot. There she spotted Sercle behind the wheel of a red Mercedes SUV. He drove past her, made a three-point turn, and struck her with the vehicle.
The Aventura Police Department and emergency crews responded promptly to the scene. Sercle fled the scene, and they administered treatment for minor injuries.
Detectives learned that Sercle had a pattern of this odd behavior and started watching. A few days later, he made a reservation at the same hotel. After he checked in, police officers quickly took him into custody.
