Florida man torches $90k BMW after stealing it
Unfortunately, I can’t explain the psychology of a Florida man. All I can do is share the insane mistakes they make with trucks and SUVs. One man got in over his head upon stealing a $90k BMW, but instead of ditching it somewhere, he lit it on fire.
Florida man lights $90k stolen BMW on fire
A man in West Palm Beach decided to drive to a nightclub and park his 2021 BMW X6 M50i in a lot on Clematis Street around 3 AM. He later called the police in a panic because the $90k BMW SUV was stolen while he was partying.
Before the theft was reported, two women reported being harassed nearby. A man matching a wanted description approached them for their phone numbers. When they declined, he punched one in the face and fled in a luxury SUV.
It was later confirmed to be the stolen X6 M50i model. According to CBS 12, the SUV was spotted on a surveillance camera arriving at a warehouse on Prospect Avenue.
Reportedly, two men exited the vehicle and walked off. They later returned in an Audi Q4 with a third person. One of the men is seen throwing a flaming object at the XG M50i, then it erupts in flames.
Additional footage shows the same man nearby at a Wawa gas station. He was caught on film buying items believed to be used during the arson. He was also identified by his probation officer as Dominique Reid.
When police officers went to arrest him, they noted that he had burn marks on his face and chin. Despite denying involvement. Read was charged with first-degree arson and grand theft of property valued between $20,000 and $100,000.
