For a dealer, success means shifting as many vehicles as possible as quickly as possible without alienating buyers or automakers. But just because a model is a best-seller, it doesn’t mean it’s among the fastest-selling cars on the market. Frankly, a few luxury models like the Cadillac Escalade and Lexus RX Hybrid qualify as fast-sellers without taking a spot among the best-sellers.

Lexus and Cadillac are among the fastest-selling vehicles in America– but they’re far from the best-selling models

Americans buy tons of big cars. SUVs. Trucks. Minivans. All of these vehicle segments outperform the once-dominating sedan. But even with the sales chops of the Ford F-150, not every best-seller sells downright fast.

According to data from iSeeCars and CarEdge, several of the best-selling cars in the country also land on the list of the fastest-selling models. But not all of them. Just four of the top 10 fast-selling models in the United States ranked as best-sellers in 2024.

The data shows that the Toyota Sienna, Toyota’s popular minivan, is the fastest-selling vehicle in America in terms of time to sell out of inventory. Based on the daily sales rate and inventory, it takes just 20 days for Americans to pick lots clean of new Siennas.

Like the Sienna, the Lexus RX Hybrid, Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Toyota Corolla Cross, and Ford F-450 Super Duty don’t live on the list of the best-sellers from last year. That said, the Corolla and F-Series pickup trucks are powerhouse sellers, with the latter holding the No. 1 spot when considered as a series and not an individual model.
