Watch Dodge Hellcat stolen during test drive
It started like any other car sale on Facebook Marketplace. But the buyer in this case had a different payment plan: theft. According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect took two test drives in a black Dodge Challenger Hellcat—then took off for good.
The seller had just moved his other car out of the garage. Security cam footage shows the two men walking out together. The seller slowly backs the Hellcat down the driveway and pulls into the street. Nothing seems off.
But once they return, the suspect asked for a turn behind the wheel.
“The victim took the suspect, who was wearing a black shirt and a red Atlanta Hawks hat, on two test drives,” the sheriff’s office said. After the second drive, both men stepped out of the car. Then the buyer jumped back in. And floored it.
Owner chases stolen Hellcat with his own dashcam rolling
The seller gave chase. His dashcam footage shows him following the stolen Hellcat down Spout Springs Road. At one point, he loses the car heading east toward Capitola Farm Road.
Investigators say the Hellcat may have a scratch down the passenger’s side. It was last seen with Georgia plates that read CDQ3950. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office also posted footage of the suspect and the stolen Challenger on Facebook. The suspect’s face is even visible.
“Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigators hope you can identify the suspect and/or location of a stolen Dodge Challenger Hellcat,” the post reads.
