A TikTok star caused “havoc” in her bright yellow Chevrolet before crashing into railings during a police chase, according to prosecutors. Paige Brookes, a 24-year-old mother of three, now faces sentencing after she pleaded guilty and the court released her on bail.

Police arrested Brookes, who has 142,000 followers on TikTok, after she ignored them when they tried to pull over her yellow Chevrolet coupe. Instead, she led police on a chase in which she exceeded the speed limit and failed to safely maneuver a mini roundabout before crashing into pedestrian railings, according to Stoke on Trent Live.

‘A complete disregard for her own and other road users’ safety’

A Stafford police officer who was present at the scene of the accident spoke to the court during her hearing.

“Brookes showed a complete disregard for her own and other road users’ safety when she drove dangerously that day, causing havoc,” the officer said.

“It’s only good fortune that she didn’t collide with a pedestrian or other vehicle,” the officer continued. “I am pleased she admitted the offenses and hope this shows to others how we will prosecute anyone risking the lives of others on Staffordshire’s roads.”

The Radford Bank, Stafford, resident pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving and failing to stop for officers. She will now have a sentencing hearing at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on March 20.
