A red 1987 Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione

The Alfa Romeo 75 Was the E30-Fighting Giulia of the 80s

For all its faults, the Alfa Romeo Giulia is a genuine competitor to sport sedans like BMW’s 3 Series. It’s also the heir to a successful 60s sedan of the same name. And that Giulia paved the way for another performance sedan that would take on the BMWs of its day, too. It’s called the …
A red 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S next to a white 2020 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Does the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S Out-Muscle the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1?

Traditionally, the Corvette has been the American rival to the Porsche 911 Carrera. However, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has proven to be a worthy adversary to other German coupes. Not to mention, in track-focused 1LE trim, being arguably the best muscle car on sale today. But what happens when the Porsche 911 Carrera S meets …

The 2021 BMW R18 Cruiser Is a Bavarian Harley-Davidson

Usually, adventure bikes are the first things that come to mind when thinking about BMW motorcycles. But the German company also offers sportbikes and some scrambler look-alikes. And for a brief period, it had a cruiser, too. But despite starring in a James Bond movie, the R1200C wasn’t particularly popular. However, the company is taking …

Peugeot Motorcycles Is Moving Beyond Scooters and Mopeds

Liter bikes like the Suzuki Hayabusa may thrill, but it’s the small-capacity motorcycles where a lot of the sales are. Honda offers a slew of them, from the Grom to the CB300R. And KTM is expanding its Duke lineup in the US with its new 200cc model. Now, though, there’s another name joining in: Peugeot …

The EPA Says the 2021 Toyota Supra 2.0 Is Barely More Efficient Than the Six-Cylinder Model

Whether you prefer the six-cylinder or the four-cylinder Supra, Toyota’s sports car is a worthy performance contender. However, the 2021 model’s power bump comes with an efficiency penalty. Until now, the 2021 Toyota Supra 2.0’s official EPA fuel economy figures were unknown. But they’ve finally been released, and they’re not quite as good as you …
A blue-with-white-stripes 1999 Dodge Durango Shelby SP-360

Before the Dodge Durango SRT and Hellcat, There Was the Shelby SP-360

The Durango Hellcat won’t be around for long, but it’ll still be the most powerful version of Dodge’s SUV. The SRT 392 trim, though, is sticking around. However, Dodge once offered another high-powered version of the Durango before the SRT or Hellcat models existed. And it came courtesy of a name that’s usually tied to …

Cars and Bids Bargain of the Week: 1991 W126 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL

While Bring a Trailer is a great auction site, especially for classic and vintage vehicles, it’s not the only one. Automotive YouTuber Doug Demuro recently formed his own site, Cars and Bids, which focuses on newer classics and enthusiast vehicles. As with any automotive sales or auction website, not every car listed will necessarily be …

Bring a Trailer Bargain of the Week: 1994 Ford Escort RS Cosworth

Besides Freakshow Friday, we here at MotorBiscuit believe in providing useful consumer information, including advice on used cars. Many websites, such as Craigslist, cater to used car shoppers. But for classic and/or enthusiast cars, Bring a Trailer has quickly become a popular go-to. And while some cars, like the 300SL Gullwing, will be pricey even …

Is Acura Actually Making an NSX Type R and Convertible?

While the 2021 TLX gets ready to take on BMW, Acura’s sporty side is currently best-represented by the NSX supercar. The hybrid NSX has already beaten racing records, and it’s proven to be a worthy successor to the 90s model. But while the original offered sharper trims like the Alex Zanardi Edition, that’s not the …

A $38,000 Used Bentley Continental GT Can Compete With a $279,000 New One

Depreciation is the bane of many car owners, especially those who drive luxury cars. However, for those buying used, it’s a great opportunity. Given enough time, even Maybachs and Rolls-Royces become relatively affordable. And the same goes for Bentley models, especially the Continental GT. But automotive technology and design aren’t static. Can a decade-old used …
The side view of a black V12-powered 1992 Mercedes-Benz W140 S-Class sedan

The W140 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Was an Overbuilt Luxury Marvel

The S-Class is the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz lineup for a reason. Actually, as the 2021 model demonstrates, with its plethora of luxury and safety features, several reasons. Although some cars, like the Citroen DS, matched the Mercedes S-Class in innovation, fewer matched its reputation for quality. And according to Doug Demuro, that’s especially true …

With Skyline Tech, the Z32 Nissan 300ZX Could Out-Handle the C4 Corvette

The Z Proto’s/400Z’s design pulls heavily from Nissan’s Z car heritage, especially from the 240Z. But it also has style elements from the Z32 Nissan 300ZX. Compared to its contemporaries, like the Acura NSX, the Mazda RX-7, and the original Miata, the 300ZX is often overlooked. However, thanks to some features borrowed from the Skyline …

The Nissan Z Proto Is Retro Done Right

While the current 370Z is an old-school performance bargain, that’s also part of the problem with Nissan’s sports car. Compared to rivals like the Toyota Supra, Ford Mustang, and the Mazda Miata, it’s fallen somewhat behind. Which is a shame, given the Nissan 240Z was more advanced than the original Mustang in several ways. However, …

The Brabus Smart Ultimate E Facelift: Adult-Sized Power Wheels

While it can’t claim the title of world’s smallest car, a Smart car is definitely tiny. However, while it can make a good daily driver, it’s usually not thought of as a performance car. But as Abarth showed with the Fiat 500, and several tuners have demonstrated with classic Mini Coopers, small cars can make …

Jay Leno Shows off the 1955 Packard Caribbean’s Advanced Suspension

Today, there are plenty of incredible features to be found on high-end luxury cars. Naturally, classic cars like the Citroen DS don’t exactly offer massaging seats. But then, someone has to be the first. The Jaguar Mk1 and Mk2, for example, helped popularize unibody design. And Lancia’s cars introduced a whole host of innovations. And, …

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson’s Redesign Is More Than Skin Deep

While the 2021 Tucson has plenty to offer, Hyundai’s mid-size crossover falters in some areas against competitors like the Nissan Rogue. It also has internal competition, in the form of the Kia Sportage and the Hyundai Kona. That’s likely why the Hyundai Tucson has been redesigned for the 2022 model year. And its sharply-creased exterior …

Critics Agree: The V8-Powered Jeep Wrangler 392 Shouldn’t Remain a Concept

Even before the Durango had a high-power V8, Jeep already offered one in the Grand Cherokee. However, while Jeep’s most iconic SUV, the Wrangler, has a diesel and now a hybrid powertrain, it’s never had a V8. That is until the V8-powered Jeep Wrangler 392 Concept broke cover recently. And now, a few publications have …
