4 Hyundai SUVs Dominate the List of Best Rides for 2026
The list of the best SUVs for 2026 has already launched with full steam ahead. However, it’s being dominated by Hyundai SUVs. No other automakers, including Toyota, have as many models that rank as top options as Hyundai does.
Four Hyundai SUVs rank as the best for 2026
After spending time behind the wheel of multiple SUVs in 2025, Edmunds has provided a list of the best options for 2026. In a surprising takeover, Hyundai SUVs dominate the list with four top picks.
Toyota has two options on the list. Also, Ford, Subaru, and Honda each have one model. There’s also a Genesis model in the luxury space, which is the luxury line of Hyundai. Also, I’ve driven all of these models, and it’s difficult to find negative aspects.
1. 2026 Hyundai Kona
The 2026 Hyundai Kona rings in with an MSRP of $25,350. Critics enjoy this compact model because it’s full of standard tech and has physical controls. Plus, there are tons of passenger and storage space.
However, the base engine is a bit underpowered, and it might feel stiff on the road. Larger SUVs in the class are known for being more refined.
2. 2026 Hyundai Tucson
Next, the 2026 Hyundai Tucson flexes with an MSRP of $29,200 to battle the Toyota RAV4. It provides tons of value with lots of standard tech. Plus, the hybrid powertrain is potent and athletic.
But critics note that the cupholders are a bit small. That’s probably because everyone has their YETI bottles these days. Also, it may fall short of EPA estimates.
3. 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe
You can enjoy three rows of space with the 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe. It has an MSRP of $36,400. Once again, critics are pleased by its long list of standard tech. Plus, the turbocharged engine is engaging, and there’s tons of passenger space.
Critics ding it for having limited cargo space when all three rows are in use. Also, it can be stiff on the pavement, but it is one of the more capable rugged options.
4. 2026 Hyundai Palisade
The 2026 Hyundai Palisade has an MSRP of $39,435 and is beloved for its luxury comfort despite having a low cost for the class. Also, it provides tons of passenger and cargo space with a comfortable ride.
However, the standard gas engine is referred to as lethargic. Also, the non-nybrid powertrains don’t have the best fuel economy.
