Another streamer has reportedly been banned from their platform for getting into a car crash while filming. This time, Twitch streamer MeltIsLIVE (real name: Jalen Melton) was involved in a three-vehicle accident.

The 24-year-old had his camera rolling as he drove down a Georgia highway over the weekend. The video appeared to show four passengers in his car. At some point during their drive, Melton and another car touched fenders. That car was reportedly being driven by a friend of his. The contact sent his car spinning, and it reportedly crashed into a third vehicle.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, which spoke to People, the three vehicles were involved in the accident on I-75/85 at around 3:01 a.m. on Sunday. Atlanta police also informed the media outlet that “no critical injuries were reported from the incident.”

Another streamer who goes by the handle HyyJoe later also claimed that no one involved in the crash was seriously injured. “Everybody’s walking. Everybody’s talking,” he wrote on social media after apparently driving past the crash. Melton’s car, on the other hand, appeared to be basically totaled.

People need to stop livestreaming while driving

TMZ reports this is the second time Melton has been involved in a crash while live-streaming on Twitch. In April 2024, while he was broadcasting, he was involved in an accident while looking at his phone.

Currently, his MeltIsLIVE Twitch channel is offline and appears to have been suspended. “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service,” a message reads. Last month, a streamer was banned from Kick for getting into a car crash while livestreaming.

According to DailyMail.com, Melton said in a clip taken from a stream after the accident, “Every time I get in the car, I think I’m gonna crash. It could be somebody else driving. It’s not a skill issue. I wasn’t speeding. This is the thing, I just happened to be going faster than the person next to me. I’m so traumatized. I am traumatized. I have had an airbag deploy on me twice, on top of being knocked out. What is happening to me?”
