California man feels trapped with Ram 1500 TRX that won’t sell after 2,800 miles
Buying an expensive truck is a big choice to make. One man in California may have made a rash decision to buy a 2023 Ram 1500 TRX and feels trapped with it. It only has 2,800 miles on it, but he can’t sell it.
California man can sell his Ram 1500 TRX
A California man bought a 2023 Ram 1500 TRX for $99,385. He paid roughly $15,000 over the base price and went for a model with extra bells and whistles.
However, he’s not having a good time. He only drove this monster truck for about 2,845 miles. The man only hit the streets for about 1,450 miles per year.
According to Auto Evolution, the truck failed to meet the man’s reserve or expectations. While nothing is wrong with the truck, he just doesn’t want it anymore. But he’s stuck with it.
During his attempts to get rid of it, he did receive a bid for $80,202. The man will relist the truck for sale again if the owner fails to negotiate with this high bidder.
This gas-guzzling beast was customized with 18-inch Method wheels with a gold finish and a leaving kit with active performance shock absorbers and adaptive damping. An S&B air intake and Carven mufflers were also added.
Perhaps the owner didn’t consider that trucks depreciate as soon as they drive off the lot. Also, custom mods can make a vehicle harder to sell as others may want to start from scratch.
The Ram 1500 TRX has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. It’s a massive truck that gets an EPA-estimated 10 mpg in the city and up to 14 mpg on the highway.
While it’s awesome, do your research and really imagine daily life with one before pulling the trigger.
