Toyota’s Latest Teaser Could Disappoint Truck Fans
There’s a new Toyota teaser to obsess about. However, don’t get your hopes up if you think it’s a Ford Maverick fighter. While the silhouette of a vehicle seems truck-like, it might show an SUV instead. Either way, something new is about to drop.
Toyota teases a mysterious new truck or SUV
One of the most anticipated new Toyota models is a compact truck. Fans really want something that’s smaller than the Toyota Tacoma to knock the Ford Maverick off its pedestal.
Toyota released a teaser image that could indicate those compact pickup dreams are coming true. The silhouette of the rear side of a vehicle could have a bed following a rear window.
But the automaker isn’t confirming any details. When the image was shared, it included a caption that said, “Something is new on the horizon.” We’re going to have to wait for Toyota to drop more clues to learn anything else.
According to TFL Truck, the image could be related to a new compact SUV. The rear end could be showing a rear hatch instead of a bed. Many automakers are finding that cheap electric vehicles are lucrative.
Other rumors suggest that the new SUV could replace the old Highlander. But with the Grand Highlander, RAV4, electric bZ4X Corolla Cross Hybrid, the segment is already crowded. Plus, the Highlander is an iconic nameplate.
On the other hand, Toyota recently teased the EPU concept, and this electric truck looked production-ready. Also, Ford is rushing to provide a $30,000 electric truck soon.
Either way, something new and blocky is ready to debut. It’s boxy, intriguing, and designed for Americans. So, stay tuned for updates.
