What in the world was this Texas Subaru dealership thinking? The Japanese auto brand markets itself as being a great option for dogs and their people. However, the dealership fired the handler of a mascot dog but kept the pup, separating them.

Texas Subaru Dealership fires dog handler but keeps the pup

The internet is outraged over the separation of a hard-working dog and his best friend. A Subaru dealership in Texas has a dog named Rally. It’s a golden retriever that serves as their mascot or ‘Ambassadog’.

Suddenly, the Austin Subaru business fired Rally’s handler and best friend after they worked together for three years. But it’s keeping the dog, so they are being separated.

This seems to contradict the brand’s reputation for being dog-friendly and family-friendly SUVs. Rally and his person worked together for three years. The employee was Rally’s daily caretaker and human companion.

Based on the employee’s Instagram, Rally was well cared for and quite spoiled with adventures and toys. The former employee shared that he is incredibly heartbroken and worries that Rally is as well.

But here’s one important detail. It’s unclear why the employee was fired, so we don’t have the full story. Austin Subaru shared that Rally is a cherished part of the family. His safety, stability, and daily care will continue to be the top priority.

According to the Star-Telegram, the dealership is facing a severe backlash. People are up in arms on social media, demanding that Rally be returned.

I would like to know how the Barkley family feels about this. They are the dog family you often see in Subaru SUVs in various ads and commercials. Also, with the state of things right now, I won’t be able to handle it if I find out that Rally is sad.
