Streamer Gets Banned from Kick After Crashing Her Car During Live-Stream
A streamer named Jackie got her wish and went viral with one of her videos recently. Unfortunately for her, she also got banned from Kick for her efforts. That’s because she crashed her car while conducting a live stream on the platform.
The accident happened on Friday night while Jackie was doing two things you are definitely not supposed to do. She was interacting with her Kick viewers on her phone while driving.
In the video, 23-year-old Jackie, from Los Angeles, discusses what she plans to eat later. Because that’s the type of thing people want to see on a live-stream, apparently.
“I feel like I should pick up food,” she says to the camera. “But like. Oh, you know what? I can make ramen. It’s fine. I’ll make ramen.
“Okay, what is it again?” Jackie then says as she reaches out to look at her phone, which appears to be mounted on the dashboard. “Uh, where is it at? Where is it at? Can you post it again?”
She then starts scrolling through her phone when the video suddenly cuts off after a loud sound is heard, and she says with both of her hands covering her mouth, “I just hit a car.”
The crash video quickly went viral on Reddit, TikTok, and X (Twitter). Kick’s moderators also quickly removed her channel and issued a statement reiterating their policy against “unsafe or illegal activity during livestreams.” Prior to the crash, she had around 9,700 followers on Kick – a little less than she has on Instagram.

It took her a couple of days, but she eventually apologized
Many on social media harshly criticized Jackie for causing the car accident. They were especially upset with her complete lack of attention to the road while driving.
“She wasn’t even looking at the road for 90% of the video,” one person, echoing other comments, wrote on Reddit.
“This is happening more and more with streamers,” another viewer wrote. “Someone will definitely end up getting killed if they don’t deter this moronic behavior.” (Unfortunately, that appears to have happened just a few days prior to Jackie’s video.)
Two days later, Jackie shared an apology on social media for causing the crash with her distracted driving
“I made a serious mistake streaming while driving two days ago and caused an accident,” she wrote. “The other driver and I are both fine, insurance is handling it, but I got lucky – this could’ve been much worse. I’m seeing people say I was drunk or on something. I wasn’t.
“I was distracted by streaming, which is inexcusable on its own,” she continued in another post, adding that she takes “full responsibility,” and “won’t be streaming while driving again.”
