A video from eight years ago showing a six-car pileup involving only Ford Fiestas is going wildly viral in 2026. Viewers on TikTok have now watched the bizarre footage over 21 million times, leading to many questions.

“Think there are genuinely higher chances of winning the lottery than finding myself in a six-car Fiesta centipede,” wrote Luis Rondi, the person who shared the video of the very unusual car accident.

The unlikely six-car accident video generated almost 15,000 comments, and viewers favorited it over 161,000 times. Rondi says the crash happened in Kent, Michigan, eight years ago. However, with all the chicanery involving AI these days, many people on TikTok are skeptical of its authenticity.

Is the viral video of a six-car Ford Fiesta pileup real?

“A lot of people have asked if we’d planned it or if we were on our way to a car meet or something, but it was a mere coincidence!” Rondi told People. He explained that he was simply driving to work when traffic suddenly went wrong.

“I was on my way to work at the time, and another driver cut into our lane ahead of me, which caused us all to slam into each other,” he says. “It just so happened that everyone in my lane was driving a Fiesta.”

Rondi’s only explanation for why so many Ford Fiestas were involved in the accident is, “I guess they sold pretty well in Kent that year.”

He said he almost didn’t share the video. He only did so because he was clearing out his camera roll and rediscovered the video.

“So I uploaded it to my Instagram story without much thought,” he said, adding, “Obviously, I never expected over 20 million people to see it!”

The bizarre six-car Ford Fiesta-only accident generated hundreds of jokes on social media

“The insurance companies had to be so confused,” one TikTok user commented.

Someone defo drove by thinking there was a glitch in the simulation,” another viewer wrote.

“I’m cackling at visualizing the highway patrol incident page, ‘blue fiesta vs white fiesta vs white fiesta vs red fiesta vs white fiesta vs blue fiesta,'” read another comment.

The fiesta driving past the scene of the accident?,” someone else observed.

Another TikTok user summed the scene up perfectly, writing, “Too much fiesta, not enough focus, no escape.”
