Another day, another instance of an airline passenger acting out on a flight full of travelers. On this occasion, a drunk, out-of-control passenger forced a Breeze Airways flight to redirect and resisted flight attendants at every turn. Well, until one middle school’s “gentle giant” security guard quite literally picked the misbehaving traveler off the ground and put him in his seat.

A video captured the moment that a school security guard stopped a drunk Breeze Airways passenger in his tracks

A viral video shows a loud, unruly passenger aboard a Breeze Airways flight from Norfolk, Virginia, to Los Angeles, California. It was business as usual until an inebriated passenger started stirring up trouble.

The passenger, 47-year-old David Carver Jr., appeared drunk to airline employees. While that’s not an unusual detail by itself, Carver was reportedly making inappropriate sexual comments, spouting racial slurs, yelling obscenities, and being hostile with flight attendants.

That was, until Rayshaun Riley stepped in to handle the situation on the airplane. It got so bad that the crew restrained Carver with zip ties. Riley, who was traveling with his son at the time, turned his attention to the Carver after his second Houdini act of breaking his zip ties forced the pilot to divert the aircraft to Grand Junction, Colorado, and stop all alcohol service, per KCAL News.

“That pissed him off,” Riley said of the discontinued alcohol service and new destination. “So he took all his trash and threw it down the aisle. And I said, ‘Oh, man. This guy’s going to be a big problem.’”

After another exhausting altercation with the belligerent traveller, a Breeze Airways flight attendant asked passengers for help. And help arrived. The video shows Riley, a 6’6 middle school security guard, snatch Carver off his feet and place him into an open seat.

Needless to say, Riley’s middle school showed nothing but love for him upon his return. Check out a news video of the wild exchange below!
