There’s some potentially bad news for Toyota Tundra owners. About 162,000 trucks have faulty infotainment screens. Therefore, you might need to take another trip to the dealership to have ANOTHER issue repaired.

Toyota Tundra recall: 162,000 trucks have faulty displays

If you own a 2024 – 2025 Toyota Tundra model, then this recall notice is for you. Both the regular gas-powered and hybrid trucks are involved. In fact, over 162,000 models are impacted by this safety problem.

According to Toyota, the multimedia displays might get stuck in the camera view or suddenly display a black image. As a result, you might not see a rear-view image while reversing.

As a result, the trucks fail to meet a federal safety standard. Also, it may increase the risk of accidents and injuries. Now it might not feel like a rear view camera is so important.

However, modern pickups are a lot larger than they used to be. Plus, increasing safety standards have caused pillars to get thicker and windows to get smaller.

Anyways, if your Tundra is included, you will have to visit a local dealership. Technicians will update the Parking Assist ECU software for free of charge. Owners at risk will be notified about this issue via mail starting by the end of March 2026.

If you don’t want to wait that long to see if your ride is included, visit Toyota.com/recall or NHSTA.gov/recalls. Enter your 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

You can contact Toyota Customer Support at 1-800-331-4331. Also, thank goodness that this isn’t related to a failing engine or something you really don’t want to break!
