In a rare twist, a man has turned himself in to the authorities. He drove his truck to a police station in Arizona and told officers that his girlfriend’s body was inside. However, this might not exactly be a case related to murder.

Arizona police find girlfriend’s body in man’s truck

Things started pretty early for police officers in Phoenix, Arizona, as a white pickup truck approached the station. A man exited the white GMC Sierra and flagged officers down. He told them that his girlfriend was dead in the back.

Upon investigating, officers found the woman’s body. According to KTAR, the Phoenix Police Department shared that the body had obvious signs of trauma. Also, the male driver was quickly taken into custody.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. However, investigators are still working to determine what happened. The man shared the location where the death occurred, and teams of investigators secured the area.

It’s unclear if the man was in a wreck. Images only display the rear end of the truck. I couldn’t see if the front or driver’s side was damaged. The names of the man and the woman have been withheld as the investigation continues.

It would be interesting to see if the man or woman was operating under the influence. Also, it seems odd to take the body to a police station instead of the hospital or calling for an ambulance.

Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait for detectives to get to the bottom of the case to learn more. However, our deepest sympathies go out to the friends, family, and loved ones of the deceased woman.
