Winter can be a magical time of the year for many. Warm beverages, festivals, family, and cozy nights could make the season. However, for others, the coldest part of the year is a breeding ground for winter-induced boredom. Consequently, drivers sometimes shrug off safety and resort to shenanigans. Fortunately, jerks will learn a valuable lesson from time to time, like a pickup truck driver who crashed into an immovable snowman.

A pickup truck driver in Kentucky learned a quick, albeit expensive lesson in pettiness after trying to kill a giant snowman

A family in Kentucky built a nine-foot snowman to brighten their neighborhood. He’s a traditional snowman, made of three large snowballs that get progressively smaller as he rises in height. The family topped him with a top hat—nothing out of the ordinary there. However, the trio who built the dapper winter monument used a wide, sturdy tree stump as a spine for the creation.

Imagine the surprise when a pickup truck driver thought they would make short work of the community-favorite snowman. The driver slammed their vehicle into the base of the creation, undoubtedly hoping to plow through the snowman and bring him toppling to the ground.

Instead, the hidden tree trunk stopped the pickup truck driver in their tracks. However, the impact wasn’t enough to kill the vehicle, and the owner drove off. Better yet, the impact wasn’t enough to dislodge the snowman’s torso, head, or hat. Still, there’s a driver out there looking at some bothersome and embarrassing repairs

Predictably, the internet let the would-be snowman assassin have it. One user commented, “See what hating gets you?” Another jested that the festive creation should consider another line of work. “Frosty the Snowman. Defensive line. Western Kentucky University.”

Humorously, another commenter suggested that the runaway truck driver take a bit of a chill pill. “Imagine having so much anger and hate in you during a winter storm that you try to run over a snowman someone built. Bro, stay at home and drink hot chocolate,” user “502_whodey” recommended.

Check out the video of the attempted snowman slaughter below! Bear in mind, the Louisville Hood News video shows several different iterations of the Kentucky snowman. The snowman in question was reportedly nine feet tall, not the 20-foot structure in several of the shots.
