‘Things Happen’ Pennsylvania Woman Trapped in Car Wash [Video]
Imagine this: You decided to splurge on a wash, buy your ticket, and drive into the car wash building. No sooner are you inside than the door snaps shut and everything shuts down. You’re trapped.
This is the terrifying ordeal that Felicia Sullivan suffered in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. And honestly, it’s nearly as bad as the car wash that crashed a customer’s vehicle.
Inside her Pennsylvania car wash, Sullivan waited and waited, but it was eventually clear that the machine wasn’t about to turn back on. So Sullivan got out of her car and shouted for an attendant: no answer. She remembered the car wash was fully automated.
She spotted an emergency button, so she braved the January cold, got out of her car, and pounded the button. Still, nothing.
Sullivan walked all around the building. She found a regular, human-sized service door with a regular doorknob. She figured she was finally free. But when she reached the door, she found it locked.
One sign on the wall displayed an emergency number. Heartened, Sullivan got her phone and dialed the number. No one answered.
Sullivan must have been in disbelief that she was truly trapped. She went to the big, aluminum, overhead door at the end of the car wash and began to pound on it. Surely, someone at the gas station would hear her and rescue her. But there was no response.
Escaping the car wash
After forty-five minutes, Sullivan called 911. The police arrived and broke her out of the car wash.
Eventually, the automated car wash owner got in touch. Sullivan revealed, “The owner gave me a bunch of gift cards after the police freed me from the car wash.”
I’m not sure I’d cash in the gift cards. Honestly, I’d be scared to ever enter the same car wash again. I might ask the owner to compensate me for my time. But Sullivan held no ill will. “Sometimes things happen, but no harm came from my experience.” I guess she made a clean getaway after all. You can see her footage embedded below:
