What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever found left in a used car? Old phone charging cables? Fuzzy dice? How about a pagan symbol burned into the headliner. It sounds like an SNL skit, but car flipper Matt Ryan found exactly that. And he recorded the discovery on YouTube [Video embedded below].

First off, he found a Ford Bronco Sport for $11k at a salvage yard. It was a beautiful, baby blue Heritage Edition. With no mechanical problems it sounded like a steal. So what was wrong with it? It was listed with “biohazard/chemical” damage. Sounds intimidating, but he decided to roll the dice anyway.

Bronco Sport sold cheap for “biohazard/chemical” damage, Pentacle charm

The big “mechanical” issue was the missing keys. It wasn’t stolen, the insurance company had bought and scrapped it–to the tune of $30k. So what was wrong with it?

The big superficial damage was a dented tailgate, smashed bumper, and broken tail light. The good news is with a replacement key it started right up. No check engine light or anything. But then there was the interior.

Ryan found a broken windshield, missing rearview mirror, and missing forward camera/driver assist sensors. That last one was a bit bizarre, but it gets weirder. He also found evidence of drug use inside the car. And he found a bizarre symbol burned into the headliner. It was a five-pointed star with a circle drawn around it.

The star is technically called a “Pentagram” the circle makes it a “Pentacle.” In case you’ve never had a friend obsessed with Tarot, I’ll break it down. This is a symbol or “talisman” that pagans and Wiccans wear or use to summon energies or even spirits. You can see it in popular culture in the Tarot deck or movies with magicians such as Marvel’s Dr. Strange.

So what happened here? Did someone anger a wizard? Was a vengeful ex who destroyed the Bronco a huge Tarot fan? Or were some Marvel nerds just going overboard? No way to tell. But let’s hope the Bronco’s next owner isn’t superstitious. See the cursed Ford Bronco for yourself in the video below:
