A lot of drivers must be excited about the next-generation Toyota RAV4. This SUV is so popular that it outsells the Ram 1500. It’s coming after the Ford F-150 next and could gain popularity with a complete redesign.

The next-generation Toyota RAV4 is almost here

Toyota RAV4 drivers unite! Your beloved SUV is about to arrive with a total redesign. Rumors suggest that we will get tosee the next-generation model on May 20, which is almost here.

The spiciest rumor claims that the new RAV4 will only be available with a hybrid powertrain. This is interesting because the standard hybrid powertrain works well with the Ford Maverick Hybrid.

However, it doesn’t isolate buyers and still offers a regular old gas-powered engine. Also, what about the RAV4 Prime PHEV? That bad boy (or girl, I don’t assume) will probably hang around.

The 2026 RAV4 Hybrid could use the 2.5-liter inline-four engine that’s paired with two electric motors to generate 225 hp. AWD models get a third electric motor for 232 hp. This is the hybrid setup that comes standard with the Toyota Camry.

Teasers show a boxier SUV in three different environments, including country roads, urban streets, and snow-covered trails. According to Car and Driver, it’s safe to expect a boxier style, c-shaped headlights, and a blacked-out roof.

Prices are expected to start around $30,000. This 2025 model starts at $29,250. Also, the RAV4 has received a few refreshes in the past few years, but hasn’t been redesigned since 2019. Remember how different life was back then? The RAV4 is certainly due for modern upgrades.
