This message goes out to Tesla Cybertruck owners. You need to duck if you see a gun. This warning comes directly from Elon Musk because the Cybertruck might not be as bulletproof as you think it is.

Elon Musk warns Tesla Cybertruck owners to duck if someone has a gun

Elon Musk touted the Tesla Cybertruck as being fully prepared for an apocalypse. However, he may have embellished a few details.

For example, the truck isn’t 100% bulletproof. This led Elon Musk to provide a warning to Cybertruck drivers, especially if they’re in fire-devastated areas of Los Angeles.

You could run into armed looters, so Musk shared that the glass isn’t bulletproof. You should duck down if you see anyone with a gun. He added that this isn’t fiction.

But the large windshield is massive. Drivers will lose visibility if they completely take cover. Perhaps they will accidentally hit the shooter.

Also, only the side panels are bulletproof. The hood, tailgate, roof, and tires are susceptible to bullet damage.

Musk encourages people to enter these devastated areas while being careful. There is a non-zero risk of armed looters. Owners can help the California rescue effort by using a Starlink terminal on the roof to access Wi-Fi.

He’s also loading up Cybertruck models with food, snacks, and water to help impacted individuals. According to Torque News, these trucks will be operated by security personnel.

Elon Musk is diverting customer-intended Cybertruck models to aid in relief efforts. So, those waiting for their orders may face delays.

He apologized to those expecting Cybertruck deliveries in California over the next few days. Those trucks are needed as mobile base stations to provide power to Starlink internet terminals in areas without connectivity. A new truck will be delivered by the end of the week.
