Also, how is the Grand Cherokee getting stolen more than Kia and Hyundai models? The Kia Boyz made the trend of stealing these older Korean and Hyundai cars and SUVs extremely popular among youths. 

On that note, the most stolen vehicle in America is the Honda Accord. But the Hyundai Elantra and Sonata are also popular to take. 

According to the Detroit Free Press, the top five most stolen vehicles in Michigan are from Stellantis. The National Insurance Crime Bureau found that the Dodge Durango, Dodge Charger, Ram 1500, and Chrysler 300 follow the Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

Perhaps it’s time for Stellantis to beef up security around its plants. Most vehicles are taken with the use of cloning devices. Thieves clone the signal from your keyfob, then use it to unlock and start your vehicle. 

High-tech methods of illegally jamming the GPS are popular too. Some people steal the SUVs the old-fashioned way by stealing the actual keys. 

Protect your vehicle by using a steering wheel lock or tire locks. Also, lock the doors and take your keys with you. Park in well-lit areas with security cameras.
