What year is it? Because a Michigan man got heated over a GMC Hummer, and that SUV was discontinued in 2010. One used model or ‘lemon’ was the source and an argument that led to the owner of a dealership getting shot.

Michigan man shoots dealership owner due to $3,000 Hummer

Unless you’re going for the new GMC Hummer EV, you probably want to avoid used models. The Hummer was discontinued in 2010, so used options are probably well-seasoned. However, these SUVs are known for being reliable.

But are they worth going to jail over? Police identified a suspect as 46-year-old Terrance Jermaine Sandles after he shot a dealership owner.

According to Yahoo, Sandals was an unhappy customer after purchasing a $3,000 used SUV. He returned to the dealership a few weeks later, claiming it was a lemon, but the dealership refused to work with him.

Then he returned the next morning and demanded to speak with the dealership owner, Marvan Batoo, in person. Things escalated as the men argued, and Sandles pulled out a pistol and shot Batoo.

Another person who was just out shopping for a car was struck by a stray bullet. Sandals then grabbed money from the cash register and fled. Police officers used license plate scanners to spot the Hummer in traffic.

He was cornered and apprehended by a motel. Officers found two guns and stolen cash in his SUV. Unfortunately, Batoo didn’t survive the incident. Sandles faces charges for first-degree murder and armed robbery. He also faces weapons charges.
