When it was first announced, Bugatti said it would be making just 99 examples of the W16 Mistral. One of those rare roadsters was purchased by Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic.

We know this because on Sunday, the Lakers shared a video on Instagram of rapper Snoop Dogg all but losing his mind when he saw it. “Have you ever seen someone pose in front of a car that’s not theirs?” the caption to the video read.

In the video, Snoop Dogg is seen sprinting towards the hypercar. Once he reaches it, he jokes, “I left my f—— keys at home!”

“Y’all like my new car,” he said as he posed comically next to the Bugatti W16 Mistral.

“You, Batman now,” Snoop told Luka Doncic when he saw the NBA star walking towards the car. “2026 Batman.”

“If you can fit in it,” Snoop Dogg continued. ” I know I can fit in it. You’re 6-8, I’m 6-4. I know I can sit up in that. When you’re on the road, let me get that.”

Snoop Dogg has good reason to be excited about Luka Doncic’s Bugatti W16 Mistral

The Bugatti W16 Mistral truly is a rare vehicle. First of all, it’s a freaking convertible hypercar. Second, it is the final Bugatti to be produced with the 1600 PS W16 Quad-Turbo, first used in the Chiron Super Sport 300+³. So, it’s capable of reaching a top speed of 260 miles per hour.

Then there’s the unique curved V-shaped windscreen that appears to wrap around the A-pillars. And on the back of the hypercar is the X-taillight. That feature, while not only striking to look at, according to Frank Heyl, Bugatti Deputy Design Director, also “serves the function of venting the side oil coolers through ducts connecting the triangular negative space in between the X beams to the side radiators.”

“The union of a roadster format and our W16 powertrain is absolute perfection,” said Mate Rimac, Bugatti Rimac CEO. “With the roof removed, and a pair of large air intakes directly behind your head feeding around 70,000 liters of air through the engine every minute at full bore, driving the W16 Mistral connects you to the intricate workings of this revolutionary powertrain like no other Bugatti to date.”

Ram induction air scoops behind the headrests, the headlights with an aerodynamic three-dimensional surface, and the W16 Mistral’s intricately designed interior also make it a very unique ride. A price tag of $5.758 million also helps.
