Louisiana man is facing felonies after a traffic stop uncovered 100 grams of heroin, meth, and pills
There are many reasons why some drivers make the decision to evade a traffic stop. Perhaps the most common is that they are trying to hide criminal activity. This happened recently near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, when a man tried to escape police and ended up behind bars on drug charges.
He tried to evade a traffic stop but still ended up behind bars
According to BR Proud, the Zachary Police Department tried to make a routine traffic stop on a vehicle that Donald McDonald was driving. However, he tried to get away, and police officers later learned that he had done the same thing in the past. Sadly for him, he didn’t get very far as he soon crashed the car into a ditch and could no longer drive it.
However, instead of complying with the traffic stop, Donald tried to get away from the police on foot. Of course, the officers on the scene caught up to him and then placed him in handcuffs. Naturally, they also conducted a search of the vehicle. This is when they learned why he tried so desperately to get away. They found the following:
- 26.3 grams of Heroin
- 85.7 grams of Meth
- 18 pressed pills
- 101 Sildenafil pills
- Various paraphernalia
- Two guns
- $474
Now, he’s facing several charges for trying to evade the traffic stop and possessing drugs. They include but are not limited to aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I drugs, and more.
