At 60, Keanu Reeves is officially a professional racecar driver

The actor spun out during the 45-minute race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway but carried on to finish.

Keanu Reeves can check another box on what’s already one of the coolest bucket lists ever. On October 5, 2024, the actor and musician became a professional racecar driver in Rounds 13 and 14 of the Toyota GR Cup at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Moreover, he did this just a week after performing with his band, Dogstar, at the 2024 Ohana Music Festival in Dana Point, California.

“Last was a blast.”

Reeves drove the #92 BRZRKR car, decorated to promote his graphic novel “The Book of Elsewhere.” (See? Bucket list…)

His Toyota GR86 was prepped for the track through Eagles Canyon Racing via Fast Track.

After qualifying 31st, Keanu Reeves finished in 25th place on Saturday, October 5…technically last place among the runners.

During the first weekend race, the celeb partially spun out around a corner. No worries, though; he straightened out and got right back on the track.

“Racing is fun.”

In a quick post-event interview released on social media, Keanu Reeves kept his responses pleasantly short.

When asked, “Why racing?” Reeves, looking down and shrugging, says, “I don’t know…it’s fun.”

Keanu Reeves went to Race 2 on October 6 and ultimately passed teammate Cody Jones of “Dude Perfect,” who spun out.
