A Florida man wanted justice when a driver of a pickup truck crashed into his pregnant wife’s car. So, he jumped in the back as the driver sped away. This could have made things worse on so many different levels.

Florida man jumps in back of truck to stop hit-and-run driver 

Police officers in Miami-Dade County, Florida responded to a hit-and-run accident. A pickup truck driver hit the car belonging to a pregnant woman and her husband. 

However, when the truck driver refused to stop, the husband jumped in the truck bed as he sped away. Police officers arrived at the scene to find the pregnant woman alone, beside her mangled car at the intersection of Northeast 82nd Street and North Miami Avenue. 

According to Local 10, the woman explained that the driver hit her car and fled the scene. Then her husband climbed in the back. Witnesses confirmed that they saw the driver flee without stopping to speak with the victims. 

The suspect was heading west on 82nd street. Then he returned to the scene with the husband still in the back of the truck.The suspect was identified as 47-year-old Robinson Beaubrun. 

Reportedly, Beaubrun got on Interstate 95 and was driving erratically to try knocking the man out of his truck bed. He was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury. 

Firefighters treated the pregnant woman at the scene for back pain and stomach pain before she was transported to a local hospital. Her husband could have easily been killed during his pursuit.
