The Jeep Gladiator gets HEMI V8 power as the Wrangler keeps it indefinitely
Prepare for great news if you’re a fan of Jeep SUVs, trucks, and HEMI V8 power. The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 392 is finally happening. Plus, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 gets to hang around indefinitely.
The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 392 is happening
It’s about time a mid-size truck offered V8 power again. The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 392 is officially on its way. Jeep CEO, Bob Broderdorf, was more than excited to announce that the Gladiator is getting the 392 cubic inch HEMI V8 engine.
He also shared that Wrangler, Gladiator, and HEMI fans shouldn’t worry. Jeep enthusiasts made it clear that they love the roar of the 392 and the 6.4-liter V8 HEMI will always have a home at Jeep.
So, Stellantis clearly reversed its decision to discontinue this engine as it’s returning to the Ram 1500 as well. The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition model felt like the final nail in the coffin.
According to Yahoo, the engine could be added to the Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee as well. The performance and power of the 6.4-liter engine will be spread across the lineup.
This high-powered Jeep cranks out 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. It should produce the same amount of power in the Gladiator Rubicon 392. However, the Gladiator is a bit heavier than the Wrangler.
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition costs about $107,075. However, the 2026 models might have a lower price with options that include fewer standard features.
However, it’s unclear when the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 392 will be available. Bob Broderdorf didn’t reveal any timelines.
