This may seem like a tale as old as time because a Jeep driver ended up somewhere they shouldn’t have. A man got his SUV stuck on the MBTA track in Massachusetts and told police officers he got there because he was confused.

Confused Jeep driver gets stuck on MBTA tracks

Police officers found an SUV on the railroad tracks in Billerica, Massachusetts. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was sitting pretty near a commuter rail station in North Billerica.

Upon finding the Jeep driver, he explained that he got stuck there because he was confused. The SUV was tilted to the side as half of it hung off a cement platform. Luckily, it wasn’t hit by a train.

According to Mass Live, the driver explained that he took a wrong turn. I’m wondering if he was operating under the influence at the time of the incident, because mistaking the road for a train station sounds difficult to do.

Also, he didn’t stop before nearly flipping the SUV off of the cement platform. But at least there were no injuries related to the incident. The area around the platform was slightly damaged.

A tow truck driver was able to lift the Jeep off the platform and pull it to safety. It’s unclear if the vehicle was damaged. Incidents on the MTBA tracks have kept police officers and firefighters busy. A car was recently struck in Caton, Massachusetts after a driver stopped on the tracks.

Another driver said they took a wrong turn as their Toyota got stuck on the tracks and escaped just in time. The vehicle was hit by a train seconds later.
