Moving out of your house and into a truck camper sounds rough. But if your camper is a $750,000 luxury EarthRoamer, it certainly softens the blow.

In winter 2022, rumors swirled that actor Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Aquaman) had split from wife Lisa Bonet. In February, paparazzi snapped photos of the star crashing in his truck camper behind a friend’s house a few miles from his $3.5 million Topanga Canyon home. But when you’re worth a reported $14 million, even van life looks different.

Why Momoa fits the EarthRoamer lifestyle

EarthRoamer launched in Colorado in 1998 to build luxurious overland campers. It continues to break the mold. The EarthRoamer XV-LTi is a diesel Ford F-550 with a carbon-fiber RV camper shell, 43-inch off-road tires on air suspension, and lithium-ion camping batteries powered by a solar array. Each one boasts a bespoke, handcrafted luxury interior.

Wealthy and outdoorsy, Momoa is the perfect EarthRoamer customer. It’s unsurprising he became customer 221, ordering a flat black XV-LTi.

A source close to Momoa told The Sun, “He’s really not a private jet, luxury resort kind of guy.” So it’s no shock he opts to stay in his own camper, even while filming. “He stays in it quite often and has opted to sleep in there instead of getting a hotel on set so he can be by the beach.” Despite an extensive collection of vintage Harley-Davidsons and cars, he even rolled up to the Aquaman premiere in his truck.

Sources say Momoa paid between $750,000 and $800,000 for his camper in 2018. The company currently lists certified pre-owned XV-LTi campers between $449,900 and $800,000. Its replacement, the LTx, starts at $825,000, though you can option it far higher.

Momoa seemed perfectly content living in his EarthRoamer during the divorce, even taking meetings with his assistant there. The divorce is finalized and Momoa is dating again. But he still has the truck. So you could say his EarthRoamer outlasted his marriage.
