According to Click 2 Houston, the suspects approached his vehicle and tried to rob him. They went for a bag containing guns, but the victim was armed with two pistols. This led to a shootout with multiple firearms.
The victim shot one of the suspects through the chin, prompting an emergency response. The man is expected to survive. But the other two suspects fled from their car when officers arrived on the scene.
There is an ongoing investigation into the incident. The two other suspects remain at large as investigators work to determine the sequence of events.
