13 Colorado gas stations damage over 200 cars due to a fuel mix-up

Nothing ruins your commute like accidentally getting diesel instead of gas. Sometimes drivers make this mistake themselves, but this time, over 200 people face repair bills due to an accident caused by Sinclair.

The petroleum company accidentally delivered diesel to gas tanks at 13 gas stations in Denver, Colorado. The Colorado Division of Oil and Public Safety has received over 200 complaints from drivers who purchased tainted gas.

Now, gas station owners and mechanics warn that drivers face expensive repair bills. To correct the problem, the fuel tank is dropped and flushed. It could cost over $1,500. However, if you need new fuel injectors or pumps, the price could rapidly increase.

Those who were impacted should purchase the owner of the gas station where they filled up or the retailer. According to CBS News, Sinclair has launched an investigation into the incident. It will work with distributors to rectify the situation.
