Florida man climbs on school bus to cuss out driver, threaten shooting
This Florida dad set a pretty poor example for students when he climbed aboard their school bus to swear at and threaten the driver—in front of all the elementary-aged students.
Authorities report that 40-year-old Alvon Corley illegally boarded a Hernando County school bus one morning. Perhaps he was angry at the driver’s technique. Maybe they were late for a pickup. Corley may have even been in the right. But this Florida Man definitely handled it the wrong way.
First off, stepping onto the bus without permission is the same as trespassing on school grounds. That’s a big “no-no.” Then Corley used profane language toward both the driver and the school’s bus attendant. When they asked him to leave, he refused—standing in the doorway so the driver couldn’t close it and leave.
The professionals chose to be professional. They told Corley they were contacting the police. His response? “I’ll go back and get my [expletive] gun.” Once he’d upgraded the incident to a school bus shooting threat, he got off the bus. But the bus camera had captured the entire exchange.
Authorities arrested Corley at his home. He faces charges of trespassing on school grounds and will likely also be in trouble for his threatening behavior.
A spokesperson for the district said, “This type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. We will continue to work with school officials to ensure the safety of our students and staff.”
