Florida Man Caught Driving His BMW 146 mph in a 60 Zone
It’s time for our daily dose of Florida Man. This Super Speeder’s courtesy of Sheriff Grady Judd, which he delivered via his morning briefing.
Florida Man drives 86 mph over the limit to catch his friend in an Infiniti
The sheriff, who operates out of Polk County, Florida, explained in his Facebook post that this teen is lucky to be alive. And to have avoided injuring anyone else on the road.
Police clocked his BMW moving at 146 mph on Highway 27 in the Waverly area. “With him driving like a fool,” police felt the need to take evasive action.
After stopping the car, they approached the driver. He fled from officers on foot. Police saw him trying to hide behind Grease Monkey, an oil change place in Dundee, Florida.
They made the arrest, took him to jail, and towed his car.
They didn’t catch the Infiniti. “Hey buddy, you’re a lucky dog, but we’re looking for you,” Sheriff Judd asserts. “We’ll catch you the next time.”
The sheriff reminded Florida drivers that “super speeding” gets you a “straight to jail” card. Your car gets towed, too.
